The Corporate Philanthropy Conclave & Leadership Summit 2025 – Vidarbha, envisaged by CrowdEra and The Metropolitan Institute (TMI) and held on July 26 and 27 at IIM Nagpur, brought together changemakers, CSR leaders, philanthropists, and grassroots organizations from across Vidarbha and India to explore new models of collaborative impact. The 2-day summit focused on boosting Vidarbha’s socio-economic development through strategic partnerships across domains, leveraging digital innovation, and inclusive community building. With workshops, masterclasses, panel discussions, NGO and CSR case studies, and networking sessions, the event served as a dynamic platform for dialogue, visibility, and long-term collaboration.
As the Strategy Partner, TMI played an integral role in shaping the summit’s vision and delivery. The team supported shaping the program, its planning, documentation, and outreach efforts, ensuring grassroots perspectives and inclusive practices were reflected throughout. TMI demonstrated its commitment to respectful ecosystem building and community connection. The summit reaffirmed TMI’s belief that collaboration, resilience, and sustainability must be central to any philanthropic strategy. It also offered a promising opportunity to many non-profits and NGOs to gain valuable insights over topics such as legal compliance and documentations, from many respectable and promising dignitaries. For CSRs this event proved out to be impactful as it gave them an opportunity to char their evolution through win-win collaborations.
Beyond the 2 days of the Summit, TMI focused on leveraging this platform as the foundation for a continued nourishment of the social impact ecosystem of Vidarbha. Thus, the need of a unified, participatory, and high-level platform to accelerate Vidarbha’s socio-economic potential was recognised, and an effort to move forward with collective efforts was put forward through the Vidarbha Social Transformation Declaration. The declaration was signed by all participants, and this forged a shared agenda for long-term, sustainable growth and across all sectors of Vidarbha’s economy and society, culminating to the formation of Vidarbha Impact and Social Transformation Alliance (VISTA). VISTA is now a concrete group of social impact organisations – governments, non-profits, CSRs, ecosystem enablers, and changemakers from across all eleven districts of Vidarbha who collaborate, co-learn, and build partnerships to share useful insights, look for growth opportunities, etc.
Thus this event initiated an empowering journey, and with that a launchpad for a deeper and stronger regional impact.
